The AWS SDK for SAP ABAP simplifies the use of AWS services alongside SAP applications with a client library of modules that are consistent and familiar to ABAP developers. Through a set of simple ABAP classes, the AWS SDK for SAP ABAP takes care of the complexities around security, data formatting, and API connectivity so ABAP developers can focus on innovating with AWS services using only a few lines of code. The AWS SDK for SAP ABAP supports RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, and self-managed SAP applications running SAP NetWeaver ABAP version 7.4 and above (including SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 7, SAP BW 7.4, SAP Solution Manager 7.2, and many more).
The AWS SDK for SAP ABAP – BTP edition (in Developer Preview) extends support to the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) ABAP Environment, helping SAP customers develop and run ABAP applications in SAP BTP that use AWS services. Customers who developed solutions with the AWS SDK for SAP ABAP can now leverage the BTP edition to bring existing SDK code to SAP BTP, helping customers modernize their SAP landscapes while preserving valued extensions and applications.
